North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has reportedly called for a meeting with US President Donald Trump in Pyongyang, according to foreign reports.
The North Korean leader issuing a second letter to the US president last August said that he is ready to continue the stalled denuclearisation talks by calling out another summit, South Korean newspaper Joongang Ilbo said on Monday (16) citing diplomatic sources.
The letter was dated back prior to North Korea's recent launch of short-range projectiles, the newspaper further said.
However, the White House, the US State Department and the North Korean Mission to the United Nations did not comment to these claims.
Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un have met three times since June last year to resolve the North Korea's missile test and nuclear weapons program issues, but no significant progress has been made.
