Both Singapore and Malaysia have been clouded with black smoke due to forest fires in Indonedia's Sumatra, Java and Kalimantan, foreign reports said.

Thousands of people have been evacuated as a result of this wildfire spread over 930000 hectares (2.3 million acres).

These forest fires are disrupting the lives of people in Singapore and Malaysia, and the Malaysian government has already distributed over one million face masks to the public to cover from the smoke.

Meanwhile, about 450 schools in Malaysia have been closed for two days. The blaze was caused by the spread of fire by farmers to clear the farmlands, authorities said.

The API levels in Singapore and Malaysia have been sky high hazardous to the public.
