SLIM Marketers Quiz is back again for the second consecutive year

The pioneer in Marketing education in Sri Lanka, SLIM, is back again with the epic quiz competition for spirited young marketers in the local fraternity. The SLIM Marketers Quiz 2019, held for the second consecutive year, will take place on September 19 at the Marino Beach Colombo under the theme, ‘The Battle of Brain Champs’. The programme was designed by SLIM to test its participants’ wider knowledge and recalling ability on multiple subjects such as marketing, strategy, branding, and general knowledge, among other allied topics. The quiz is conducted with the aim of promoting and educating young marketers about the latest developments and future trends in marketing strategies and practices. 

The SLIM Marketers Quiz will be conducted as a table contest comprising five rounds made up of 10 questions with topics related to marketing such as Marketing Essentials & Concepts, Consumer Behavior & Brand Fundamentals, International Marketing & Economics, Business Highlights & Strategic Thoughts, and General Knowledge & International Affairs. 

The competition is exclusively open to organizations or associations of the corporate sector, with teams comprising a maximum of five members. The overall winner of the quiz would be awarded a trophy and a generous prize of Rs. 100,000/-, while the 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive trophies, and cash prizes of Rs. 50,000/- and Rs. 30,000/- respectively. 

Suranjith Swaris, the President of SLIM stated, “SLIM has always campaigned for high professional standards, greater recognition for the profession and marketing excellence in Sri Lanka through education, training and development. Hence, once again SLIM provides a platform for enthusiastic marketers to level up in their field, to explore their strengths, and prove themselves in the corporate battle field as eminent marketers”.  He further said, “As the National body for marketing, SLIM has always remained proactive in adding value to the marketers in the country. SLIM continues to enhance the marketing fraternity in the country by introducing novel concepts while being on par with international education systems.”
