Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has recently left Temple Trees to live in his official residence at Wijerama, and his youngest son Rohitha Rajapaksa and his family by marriage currently reside in Temple Trees.
Mr. Rajapaksa received two official quarters from the government - the residence at Wijerama as the former President and Temple Trees as the official residence for being the current Prime Minister.
On the occasion that Rajapaksa Jr and his wife are expecting their second child, a group of relatives from the side of his wife has also accomodated Temple Trees in the present, sources said.
Upon learning this event, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed Mr. Rohitha Rajapaksa to leave Temple Trees and go back to the official residence at Wijerama, according to sources.
In the event that the Prime Minister of the country is not present at Temple Trees, it would be problematic for another family to accomodate it, the President pointed out, instructing the youngest Rajapaksa son to go back to Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa's residence at Wijerama with his family by marriage.
As the Head of State, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa does not reside in Temple Trees and lives in his personal residence at Mirihana.
P.S. This has reportedly happened a week ago, and Mr. Rohitha Rajapaksa currently lives in his residence at Beddagane Duwa road.
