Glenn Maxwell, a remarkable member of the Australian 20/20 team, will not participate in the third and final 20/20 match in Sri Lanka as he was taking a short term break for mental healthcare.

Australian coach Justin Langer says he will quit not only in the third game against Sri Lanka but also in the 20/20 series against Pakistan.

In the first two matches of the Sri Lanka-Australia series, Maxwell made an aggressive knock in the first match and scored 62 runs off 28 balls to give his team a record victory. He was not able to come out in the second match.

Coach Langer says that although he excelled at Adelaide, he was not in a good mood. "It is important to keep the mental health of the players above all. Maxwell is a strong player in the 20/20 team," Langer added.

Langer points out that before the Adelaide match, he understood Maxwell's mental state and told him that he needed a break after the match. He hopes to see him play in full mental health as he is a fun talented player only for his team-mates but also for opponents.

Langer also added Maxwell's decision to return to the squad must be determined by himself and is still waiting.
