The government MPs are set to hold a meeting with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa this evening (24) at the President’s House. A group of 11 minor party members of the government are preparing to directly question the President regarding the controversial agreement on the Kerawalapitiya Power Plant.

The group had made a written request to the President do discuss the matter. But the President had denied the request informing them to discuss the matter with the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister, leaving the minor party members of the government to utter frustration.

The group of minor party MPs met at the residence of MP Tiran Alles last (23) night and held discussions and concluded that the dispute of Kerawalapitiya Deal be addressed in today’s meeting, reports claimed.

The group also concluded that the dinner offered by the President upon the meeting should be boycotted, according to reports.
