Dates have been set to consider the appeal filed over the death row sentenced to MP Premalal Jayaseakra aka Choka Malli. The appeal was taken up before a two-member Appeal Court Bench comprising justices Bandula Karunaratne and R. Gurusinghe today (04).
Accordingly, Jayasekara's appeal is set to be considered on November 25.
Jayasekara was convicted for murder and sentenced to death along with two others for shooting a person in Kahawatta during the 2015 Presidential Election. The case was heard in the Ratnapura High Court.
