SLPP MP Jagath Kumara says that neither the government nor he has ever proposed that people who eat three meals a day should eat two meals a day.
"The government did not make a statement to the people to have only 2 meals. The government and we are trying to create an environment where the people should eat four times or as much as possible. In particular, I stated that the low-income, poor and innocent people were greatly affected by the curfew. We hope to take the country to a place where those who eat two meals to a point where they eat three meals and provided more nutritious food to those who eat three meals a day are. "
Jagath Kumara stated this at a media briefing held yesterday (13).
