The Sri Lankans in Italy continued their protest action seeking justice over the Easter Sunday carnage. The protesters demanded that those responsible for the massacre be brought to justice as promised during the last elections.
Sri Lankans in several European countries were also seen joining the protests.
Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, who is on a visit to Italy, was set to deliver a speech in Bolonga city today (12). Coincided with his arrival, a large number of Sri Lankans were seen protesting in Bolonga city.
Protesters commented that their fight would continue until the Vatican and the International Human Rights Council respond, in any event was justice not done to the victims of the genocide and the bringing in those responsible for the attack before justice delayed.
Sri Lankans living abroad would be ready for the struggle, even without the support of the Catholic relgious leaders, they added.
