The body of the 16-year old minor who worked in MP Rishard Bathiudeen's residence in Colombo is set to be exhumed on July 30 for a second post mortem, under the full supervision of the area's magistrate.
The victim's body is buried in Dayagama where she lived. Special police protection has also been placed in the burial ground.
Meanwhile, a special judicial medial team has been apponited to conduct the second post mortem on the victim, based on the recommendations of the Director of Health Services and the Attorney General.
The team comprises of Dr. Jean Perera of Judicial Medicine at the University of Colombo, Dr. Sameera Gunawardena, Senior Lecturer and Head of the Judicial Medical Sciences Unit of the Medical Faculty of the University of Colombo, and Specialist Judical Medical Officer Dr. Prabath Senasinghe of Peradeniya Teaching Hospital.
Two Police teams assigned to the investigation into the minor's death are still conducting their probes in Dayagama area, and statements were obtained from the victim's parents on a second row yesterday (27).
