Sri Lanka has reportedly marked some of the lowest prices in patrol 95 and diesel prices, in comparison with the countries of the South Asian region, Central Bank statistics revealed.
Added taxation and subsidies, the island nations remains at a lower price level for patrol 95 and diesel, despite the recent surge in fuel prices declared by the government.
Accordingly, one litre of petrol 95 is Rs. 157, one litre of diesel, Rs. 111. The prices are notably higher in India, marking Rs. 262 for a litre of petrol 95 and Rs. 246 for a litre of diesel.
