Covid treatment ward complex for Mulleriyawa General Hospital with labour support by SLAF

Sri Lanka Air Force is contributing to the task of establishing hospitals in various parts of the country due to the inadequacy of existing hospitals amid the third wave Covid-19.

The Director General of Civil Engineering is currently constructing a ward complex at Mulleriyawa General Hospital under the guidance of Air Force Commander Air Marshal Sudharshana Pathirana.

Accordingly, the constructions commenced in March 23 are expected to conclude by June. This will be a fully fledged ward complex to treat Covid patients.

The Air Force has deployed a team of 65 personnel for the construction work, and the project is funded by the Health Ministry.
