CEB workers on sick leave demanding higher wages

Employees of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) have decided to put sick leave today (08) and arrive in Colombo to protest against the non-payment of salary increments entitled to them for many years.

25,000 CEB workers have joined the trade union action, revealed Convener of the Ceylon Electricity Board Joint Trade Union Alliance Ranjan Jayalal, adding that they will be launching a strike action in future were the problems not solved.
