With 660 new infections of Covid-19 associated as contacts with the Peliyagoda cluster confirmed today (19), the second wave cluster emerged in association with the events at Minuwangoda, Peliyagoda and the Prison Sector has climbed up to 50,561, official records showed.
Meanwhile, three Covid-related deaths have been confirmed today (19) surging the death toll due to the contagion in Sri Lanka up to 273.
The deceased were a 68-year old resident of Anuradhapura died of Covid-influenced pneumonia and respiratory failure, a 48-year old resident of Colombo 06 died of Covid-influenced cardiac arrest and a 70-year old resident of Maligawatta died of Covid-influenced respiratory failure.
