Covid-19: 354 new infections found. Vavuniya main roads closed amid increasing risk

354 new infections of Covid-19 have been identified today (14), surging the total number of confirmed cases up to 50,585, official records showed. 

The risk of the contagion in Vavuniya city has been increased and in the circumstance all main roads have been closed, with having travel restrictions imposed. Only public servants and those seeking treatment at hospitals are allowed to enter the city. 

In the event that an attendent and a staff management assistant at Vavuniya General Hospital have contracted Covid-19, strict measures have been put in place in the hospital premises, reports said. 

A number of new infections were found among shop owners and their employess in the city, due to which the risk of the contagion has met an increase.
