Former MP M.K. Sivajilingam, who was arrested yesterday for allegedly avoiding a Court order and organising a function provoking unrest among nations, has been released on bail.
This was when the former MP was produced before Jaffna Magistrate Court today (16).
Sivajilingam and an accomplice was arrested in Kopai for allegedly organising a remembrance ceremony for former LTTE member Thileepan, who died during a death fast in 1987.
The Police had obtained a court order over the holding of this ceremony.
