Ape Jana Bala Party stated that the disappearance of its Secretary o Wedinigama Wimalatissa Thero is suspicious. Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thero, the leader of Ape Jana Bala Party stated at a media briefing yesterday that it is suspected that the disappearance was due to the intervention of a conspiratorial group or an extremist group.

The Party states that the name of the Secretary of the party Ven. Wedinigama Wimalatissa Thero has been added to the national list and since then he was gone missing. However, Ven. Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thera says that the party has not taken any decision to appoint the party secretary for the relevant post.

After the rejection of the nomination paper for the Kurunegala District led by Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera, it was decided to appoint him through the national list. Ananda Sagara Thera points out that the election campaign was carried out with a lot of publicity and that Ven. Gnanasara Thera should be appointed to the post of National List Member of Parliament.

However, due to the disappearance of the party secretary, it has not been able to take the necessary steps. Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thera says that the government should intervene or find the missing Secretary of the Party.
