The SLFP candidates who won parliamentary seats this time

Voters have voted to send 13 SLFP candidates to parliament, despite a campaign to deny preference to SLFP candidates contesting the general election from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna(SLPP).

At the forefront are the SLFP chairman, Nimal Siripala De Silva and the former president Maithripala Sirisena. They were able to take the lead in the Polonnaruwa and Badulla districts by obtaining more than 100000 votes.

In addition to these 13, the SLFP contested the Jaffna District alone and won one constituency and won one seat in Jaffna.
