The trade union action and the passive resistence launched by the workers of Colombo Port over the attempted selling of the East Terminal continued on Saturday (31) night.
Police obtained a court order over the blocking of entrance to the Port by the workers in protest, yesterday.
Shyamal Sumanaratne, Secretary of the Ports Progressive Employees' Union, said that despite the opening of the access roads in defiance of the court order, the trade union action and the truth will continue. Mr. mentioned.
Accordingly, the entrance will be unblocked respecting the court order, however, the passive resistence is set for continuity, Shyamal Sumanaratne, Ports Progressive Employees' Union, said, revealing that a special meeting will be held with Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at 8 am this morning (02) in this regard as well.
