Amidst the potential second wave of COVID-19 the conduction of an uninterrupted general election is in everyone's doubts. Some of the political parties have even suspended their propaganda rallies in the risk.
Recent reports also showed that some politicians and parties were accused of avoiding the health directives in conduction of their propaganda affairs for the coming election.
Meanwhile, UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has attended to a propaganda rally in Kegalle district on Sunday (12) wearing a face mask as well as a face shield, winning the camera lenses of many media.
These face shields are mostly used by employees who are working in crowded complexes such as super markets for a complete protection against a possible contagion in the face.
Noteworthy that this was the first time a key politician in Sri Lanka was publicly seen wearing one.
