A group of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrived in former Prime Minister and Leader of UNP Ranil Wickremesinghe's residence on recording a statement on the Central Bank bonds, reports said.

On June 18th, the Attorney General instructed the CID to record statements from former President Maithripala Sirisena and former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on the CBSL bonds during the Good Governance government.

Accordingly, the former prime minister was set to produce a statement today (03).

In addition to these two former diplomats, Mr. S. Paskaralingam, a former adviser to the prime minister, and a chief CB official are also expected to produce statements in this regard.
