Vajira caught handing over used face mask to another

United National Party Gall district candidate team leader former parliamentarian Vajita Abeywardena on Thursday (19) was donating free face masks to the public and seen handing over the mask he wore to another.

He began distributing masks to the public without wearing himself a mask or gloves and then was caught on camera wearing himself a mask later to be handed over to a person standing on the road saying 'here, keep this'.
Face masks are used to prevent germs from being contracted through a person's mouth and nose. In the coronavirus pandemic, handing over a used face mask to another is welcoming for danger.

Vajira Abeywardena is not a person of simple means. He was the former minister of Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Governments. But he behaved in a manner as if he has not the slightest clue on what the corona virus pandemic is. Apparently he is willing to distribute free corona for securing his votes in this years general election.
