Sri Lanka's 20/20 cricket captain Lasith Malinga says he does his best as a captain and as a player but he is ready to resign from the captaincy if the selection committee decides that his performance is not sufficient enough.
He was speaking at a media briefing following the Sri Lanka-West Indies' second Twenty20/20 match at the Pallekele Stadium in Kandy yesterday.
Malinga points out that if the batsmen get the maximum number of runs and the bowlers will do their best, the captain can win the matches and all the players should think of them as a captain.
He points out that the captain alone cannot win matches. He stressed that he tried to give his best and that he would always do his best.
