The United Kingdom in a surprising move has sacked UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) president Claire Perry O'Neil.
Accordingly, the climate summit would be chaired by the business department of the British government, BBC reported.
O'Neil was appointed as the president of the COP26 last year.
In a tweet, Mrs. O'Neil expressed her sadness, stating that it is a shame that the British government has failed to convene one cabinet meeting on the climate response since the summit was formed.
The British government led by Premier Boris Johnson cannot cope up with an independent unit probing climate emergencies, she alleged in her tweet.
