The Swiss Embassy employee reportedly abducted has appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today (08).
The Colombo Chief Magistrate had issued a court order barring her from travelling abroad until December 09 and ordering her to testify before the CID. Accordingly she has appeared before the CID today.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry of Sri Lanka, it was said that there is a contradiction between the technical evidence to the case and the information submitted by the Embassy.
The CID therefore had informed the Swiss Embassy that a statement should be recorded from the said victim, however, upon her absence, a court order was obtained barring her foreign travels.
In accordance with the court order, several vehicles labeled DPL arrived in the CID today, and a hooded figure has entered the building.
