Reattempt to launch siege on Temple Trees proposed by Ajith P. Perera

We earlier revealed that Minister Ajith P. Perera had suggested the Sajith Faction to launch a siege on Temple Trees and a protest demanding Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to nominate Sajith Premadasa as the Presidential Candidate.

The suggestion was originally made to be implemented on the 10th, the day the Ranil - Sajith meeting had taken place. They had originally intended to launch a siege on Temple Trees during the talks, bar all the entrances and keep Prime Minister Wickremesinghe on house arrest until the nominations were made.

However, presidential hopeful Premadasa had given up on the idea due to the lack of time to organize such attempt and for the meeting had taken place after 9 pm.

But sources say that Ajith P. Perera has once again proposed the Sajith Faction to make the same attempt on Tuesday (24) as the party leadership meeting takes place and on Wednesday (25), goes for the working committee meeting.

This was because they were unable to gain nominations by this weekend.

Promising 10,000 people from the Bandaragama electorate to be delivered for the purpose, Perera has said the rest shall be looked after by the others, claimed by sources.

Nonetheless, the Sajith Faction has not yet come into a final conclusion over the matter, according to sources.
