US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has met Saudi Arabia's crowned prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Pompeo has stated that America is with Saudi Arabia in the face of the unfortunate incident.
Pompeo added that the US would stand up for Saudi Arabia's right to defend itself and does not tolerate Iran's actions.
Pompeo said that the US was grateful for Saudi's decision to seek international expertise in the wake of the drone attacks on Saudi Aramco oil facilities affecting the global oil supply chain.
He went on to say that Iran is directly responsible for the attacks.
Prince Salman stressed that the attack on Saudi oil facilities was a major threat to regional security and had a major impact on the global energy supply chain and economy.
US President Donald Trump, however, said two days ago that the attack on the Saudi oil facilities had little effect on the global oil supply chain.
The Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen took responsibility over the attack.
Saudi Arabia oil supply was attacked. There is reason to believe that we know the culprit, are locked and loaded depending on verification, but are waiting to hear from the Kingdom as to who they believe was the cause of this attack, and under what terms we would proceed!

Trump also described the US as "locked and loaded" and ready to respond.
