Viewers come to watch cricket matches fully aware that propaganda spread outside are false, Sri Lankan Cricket captain Lasith Malinga says.
Speaking to a media briefing held at the Pallekele Stadium following the victory of the T20 match against New Zealand, Malinga said that the viewers always see things with transparency about the team and are enthusiastic about watching the games.
Malinga said he hoped that the understanding of the audience would not be changed in the future.
"Playing with the youngest players, it is worth even to reach one victory. Winning is the only way to gain a winning mentality," Malinga said.
"This is an opportunity for young players to get a feel for the success of the sport when being cheered by the fans and the reaction of the media. We have about seventeen more games to go in a year," he added.
"During that time we will have a better understanding of how to compete according to the situation," Malinga further said.
