There is no fate but what we make for ourselves,” the globally acclaimed quote reminiscing the retro nostalgia of the unsettled future shock conceptualized in the 80s, "The Terminator" returns to theaters with an exciting announcement watering the Terminator fans.

Linda Hamilton reprises her role as Sarah Connor, the ass-kicking mother of future resistance leader John Connor in "Terminator: Dark Fate."

Hamilton returns to her role as the legendary mother of resistance leader John Connor in the latest Paramount Pictures’ “Terminator: Dark Fate.” After playing Sarah Connor in James Cameron’s beloved 80s classic “The Terminator” and groundbreaking “T2: Judgment Day” in 1990, Hamilton became an action-movie icon.

Smartly, the actress skipped out on the poorly reviewed sequels “Terminator: Rise of the Machines,” “Terminator: Salvation,” and “Terminator: Genisys,” but fortunately “Dark Fate” is reconnecting the Terminator franchise by dropping the events took place after "Judgment Day".

Terminator: Dark Face would be a direct sequel to the second Terminator movie.

In response to query as to why she did not participate in the sequels following the second movie, Hamilton responded, “They’re very forgettable, aren’t they? You start something and you’re invested in the franchise, but somehow the characters that you care about weren’t there. Too many people, too many story points. So I think we’ve done a good job of narrowing down the focus again so it will echo the first two films.”

“Terminator: Dark Fate” stars Hamilton as the retro female icon back on screen, beside the king himself reprising role as the T-800 killing machine, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Newcomers Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta will also make appearances for their respective new characters.

Despite fresh blood, the film’s biggest selling point is the reunion between the two old Hollywood pals, Hamilton and Schwarzenegger. Creator of Terminator, James Cameron, is also back in producing the movie. The movie is directed by Tim Miller, director of “Deadpool”, as his first line of work in the Terminator universe.
