Syrian Army imposes choking siege by encircling rebels in Hama, according to foreign reports

The Syrian Army encircled rebels in a cluster of towns in northwest Syria's Hama countryside, according to report by Ikhbariya TV on Friday (23).

The state-run media also claimed the Syrian troops has marched deeper in the countryside pocket imposing a "chocking siege". 

State forces seized a dozen hills and expanded their control of a main highway there, according to report. 

A live broadcast said much of the area, which includes a few towns and their environs in which insurgents have held for years, is now under the control of the state forces withing its firing range as well.
