Discussions on Tuesday (20) were held at the residence of Minister Sujeewa Senasinghe upon dividing ministries of the proposed government in coalition of the SLFP and Sajith faction of the UNP, sources said.

Sajith Premadasa, Mangala Samaraweera, Malik Samarawickrema, Thalatha Athukorala, Ashok Abeysinghe, Lakshman Wijemanne and a group of ministers were present at the dinner held at the residence of Mr. Sujeewa Senasinghe at Marina Avenue, Barnes Place, Colombo, according to sources.

Mr. Rishard Bathiudeen was also present in the meeting, sources further said.

The Sajith Party is in a position to secure 97 out of the 123 votes polled in parliament to run the United National Front government, and adding 21 votes from the SLFP, a stable government can be established, they predicated. In a recent post, this has also been hinted in Ajith P. Perera's Facebook.

It is said that the discussion regarding the sharing of the 48 ministries that would be given to the formation of a national government was discussed at length.

Sajith, who currently holds the Cabinet portfolio, has been asked to increase the scope of ministers in the Sajith faction, according to sources. It was also decided to appoint Ministers Ajith P. Perera and Sujeewa Senasinghe as Cabinet Ministers.
