In view of right-to-reply, Lanka News Web herein discloses the Sri Lanka Cricket Board's response over allegations of paying in connection to development activity in Badulla Cricket Ground.
The Sri Lanka Cricket Board issuing a statement today (05) has responded to the allegations, citing 'nothing has been paid by SLC for any party whosoever' for any development activity carried out in Badulla Cricket Ground.
Addressing Sports Minister Harin Fernando, the SLC has cleared out that the development of Badulla Cricket Club is exclusively handled by SLC under its National Projects arm, at a total project of Rs. 60 Million, however, with no involvement of paying to any party whatsoever for any development activity on the ground.
According to SLC, tenders are now being called for the completion of project phases as more fully stipulated in the Project Plan and concept plan approved by SLC in 2017 and SLC, through its appointed consultants and project managers who will closely monitor the entire progress of the Project in order to complete the said project as early as possible.
