The General Secretary of the SLPP Sagara Kariyawasam has stated that although the no-confidence motion was defeated to avoid any harm to the government, the allegations leveled against the Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila by him are still valid and the conflict with him continues.
"The Opposition can say whatever it wants, but we will not allow a strong government to be harmed on this issue at this time. We will not allow the UNP, which destroyed this country or the SJB, to regain power in any way. But the allegations we have made are still valid today "
Q. Did you meet or talk to Minister Gammanpila today?
"No, no. I do not have this personal animosity with Gammanpila. The controversy over the matter is still there and will continue to be.
