The passing of the proposed Port City Special Economic Commission Bill in Parliament cannot delay by even a day, emphasised Ruling Party MP Janaka Tissakuttiarachchi, speaking to media yesterday (02).
"The main objective in this would be commencing the Port City by tabling this Bill as soon as possible. Why should we dragging this program back by even a day? As the Covid situation in our country is being controlled to an extent, we should be uplifting the country's economy. We would like to remind in particular that two turning points making the country's economy forward were discussed in recent times. It is inevitable that Sri Lanka will be turning into a Singapore, a Malaysia through this Port City Project."
