Dr. Hemantha Herath, Deputy Director-General of Health Services, urges the public to seek immediate medical attention if the fever persists for more than 48 hours after receiving the AstraZeneca Covshield vaccine.
"The fever usually goes away within 48 hours or two days, so if you have a fever after that, do not ignore it. Seek medical attention as soon as possible. Because we all know the reason for that is that dengue is in Sri Lanka at the moment. Therefore, there is the possibility of such a disease, ”he said.
Dr. Hemantha Herath stated this addressing a media briefing held yesterday (04).
