The tourists from Ukraine were brought in to Sri Lanka to earn the foreign exchange in a move to serve the rural man's necessities, including hunger, Cabinet Spokesman Udaya Gammanpila said speaking to the press briefing held in announcing Cabinet decisions yesterday (12).

The Minister added that these tourists were not brought in in a submission to their power, emphasising that tourist industry should be revived in serving the necessities of those oppressed due to hunger and absence of electricity and medicine.
