Despite President Gotabaya Rajapaksa's sentiment during swearing in of Cabinet that only state ministers in addition to cabinet ministers would be sworn in, a group of deputy ministers are also scheduled to be sworn in, sources revealed. 

The swearing in of state ministers was halted till Wednesday (27), and accordingly, these state ministers and deputy ministers are to be sworn in before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat at 9 am today. 

The total number of state and deputy ministers to be sworn in has not been informed yet, according to sources, but will consist almost every front row SLPP and SLFP members. 

40 deputy or non-cabinet ministers can be appointed in accordance with the 19th Amendment.
