Kabir Hashim to be dismissed from UNP Chairmanship?

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has decided to dismiss Kabir Hashim, who is by now a known rebel leader for Sajith Faction, from his position as the Chairman of the United Nationnal Party, sources said. 
 
The decision has been made as per influence of the senior members of the UNP, sources further claimed. 
 
Kabir Hashim on party senior members' meeting on Friday (06) was hugely slammed by Lakshman Kiriella putting out many allegations.
 
 
Kabir Hashim's alleged deals
Hashim has been leveled against many commissions, including allegedly influencing the President together with Malik Samarawickrama and a group of UNP members not to hand over the excess ministry of petroleum industries to Kiriella, secretly meeting the President to be sworn in as a minister when all Muslim ministers had resigned from their respective ministerial portfolios amid Easter attacks allegations, plotting with the President since the October 26 Coup, and secretly meeting Gotabaya Rajapaksa. 

It was significant that neither of the allegations were denied by Hashim. 

The party has opened up a serious discussions following Kiriella's slamming against Hashim, during which many senior members have asked Party Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe to dismiss him from the chairmanship, according to sources.
 
Accordingly, relevant documents for his dismissal will be made today (10) and will be approved easily during the next working committee meeting, sources further claimed. 
 
 
Hashim has made up his mind
At a meeting held on Monday (09), Hashim said that he would stand up for his policies despite any critical decision made against him, for instance losing his post, implying that he was aware of the situation.
 
Hashim also admitted that he had met the President and expressed his views as he did not like the decision to dismiss the petroleum ministry from him.
