Freed from jail by a Presidential pardon, BBS Gnanasara the hard line Buddhist monk famously accused of inciting violence against the minority Muslims, has this time not only exposed an Islamic extremist on national television but also implicated A.S.P Liyanage the former Ambassador to Qatar.
In his quest to expose Muslim extremists on national television in Sri Lanka, BBS Gnanasara did however expose a man who coincidentally is the same man the former Ambassador A.S.P Liyanage appointed as a Director of the now infamous Stafford Sri Lankan Doha School in Qatar.
Whilst showing a picture and pointing to the individual and naming him as Imanulla, he claimed the individual to be the brother in law of the recently resigned Cabinet Minister Rauff Hakeem.
However the website of the Stafford Sri Lankan School in Doha Qatar refers to a man resembling with the identical features as that of M.Hamza Mohamed Hazim who is also seen in the group photograph of the school's senior management, which includes the Board of Directors appointed by former Ambassador A.S.P Liyanage on the 28th of September 2018.
However the slip of BBS Gnanasara's tongue has now created a plethora of other stuff that has not only ravaged the Stafford Sri Lankan Doha School in Qatar, but now also warrants the questioning of former Ambassador and A.S.P. Liyanage for the role he played in soft pedaling and harboring individuals who are now being exposed as Islamic extremists.
If the said individual as claimed by BBS Gnanasara is a person of interest with Islamic terror links as claimed by BBS Gnanasara, then this ought to be investigated further.
Further Ambassador A.S.P. Liyanage who is tipped to be appointed as a Governor replacing the recently resigned Governor of the Eastern Province M.L.A.M Hizbullah , ought to also be investigated as to how he appointed M. Hamza Mohamed Hazim without completing proper background checks on the said individual.
This is especially when entrusting student children into his care.
It was only a few years ago when unbeknownst to many, a teacher named Baasith Abdhul was reported by two parents for teaching Islamic ideologies to grade nine teenage children at Stafford Sri Lankan Doha School. They brought this to the attention of the senior management of the school who were fearful that their kids were being brain washed by teacher Baasith Abdhul.
Shortly thereafter the teacher Baasith Abdhul was summoned to the school office and was sternly warned to stop his teachings of Islamic ideologies by the senior management of the school.
This too was brought to the attention of the Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena's close chum the former Ambassador A.S.P Liyanage who ignored this information.
However the said teacher Baasith Abdhul still continues to remain as a staff member of the school.
A.S.P. Liyanage created a legacy for himself as an Ambassador in Qatar who famously used his diplomatic powers to wrest control of the 17 year old Stafford Sri Lanka Doha School in Qatar and have it registered under his name. He was also instrumental in terminating many long standing competent staff which included the Principal and many teachers of the school whom he also was instrumental in having remanded on trumped up charges by the authorities in Doha. This is besides his alleged involvement in transferring school funds to accounts overseas, attempted rape of a Sri Lankan woman in the Ambassador's residence besides hushing up the murder of a Sri Lankan youth who was allegedly strangled.
He was famously exposed on social media when he was photographed carrying the bags of the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's two sons Yoshitha and Rohitha at the Hamad International Airport in Doha when they arrived on a rugby tour with the CH & FC rugby team last year.
The Stafford Sri Lankan Doha School at present comes under the purview of the Sri Lankan Embassy of Qatar, after it was forcefully and unlawfully brought its control by the former Ambassador A.S.P Liyanage. The school which had approximately Sri Lanka Rs 450 million in its bank account when he took over is now alleged to be running on a minus balance sheet.
