Thousands of families across Sri Lanka have been affected by the adverse weather conditions, killing 12 people so far and displacing thousands more.
As of now Army personnel have been deployed to rescue them with relief operations.
Troops of the 611 brigade and 08 Sinha Regiment rescued four members of a family affected by a landslide triggered by the weather in Dombemada, Rambukkana this (09) morning.
The mother, the father, the daughter and a niece of the family who were rescued by the Army have been admitted to Rambukkana Hospital for further treatment. The mother, the daughter and the niece, who were in critical condition, died upon being admitted.
The farther is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
